☕️ Alice’s Mad Tea Party
Today's Show Is Canceled
“Beware: Pollen Demon Slayer in Recovery”
From the Quill of the Mad Tea Mistress

There once was a day - bright, deceptively cheery, and full of betrayal - when Alice, Queen of Ink & Lore, dared to venture beyond the velvet curtains of her sacred writing chamber. The birds chirped a bit too smugly, the sun was far too confident, and the air had that suspicious “innocent but plotting your doom” vibe.
She had but one noble quest: to discard the garbage of civilization (and possibly that cursed jar of expired pickles that had become sentient). She stepped outside with all the bravery of a warrior queen…
…and was immediately sucker-punched by The Pollen Mist—a swirling, invisible cloud of microscopic betrayal.
It hit her faster than a rabbit late for court: eyes itched, nostrils flared, and a tidal wave of mucus surged like it had just been freed from the seventh circle of sinus hell.
“NOPE.” She squeaked, halfway to the bin.
Dropping the trash like a dramatic side character in a Shakespearean tragedy, Alice bolted back inside, cloak flapping, nose streaming, the soundtrack of her retreat a medley of sneezes, gasps, and choice swear words not suitable for enchanted ears.
Once safe inside her fortress of filtered air and bitter resentment, she declared, with tissue in one hand and allergy meds in the other:
“The show is canceled. The pollen demons have won the day. I, Alice the Sniffly, hereby retreat to my lair to sneeze, weep, and hydrate like a damp little goblin.”
A sign was placed on the door (magically laminated to withstand neighborly nosiness):
“Beware: Pollen Demon Slayer in Recovery. Today’s tea party is postponed. If you knock, you’d better have tissues, cookies, or divine nasal intervention.”
And so, the Queen of Ink & Lore curled up with her comfort cauldron of herbal tea, fuzzy socks, and a dream that maybe - just maybe - tomorrow’s air would not be a biological weapon in disguise.
But she knew better.
The outside world would wait.
The pollen could plot.
But Alice would rise again.
…After this nap. And maybe a little bit of dramatic moaning.
Signed in sniffles,
Alice, Queen of Ink & Lore,
Dramatic Sneezer of the Realm
